We are actively seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Computer Programmer for a DoD Intelligence program in the National Capital Region.
Job Summary:
The Computer Programmer will be responsible for creating, modifying and testing code, forms, and scripts for software applications. The programmer will assist software developers by analyzing user needs and designing software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, evaluation and improvement of processes for in house software programs
- Write, debug and maintain code
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designs
- Test code periodically to ensure desired output, perform debugging when necessary
- Perform upgrades to make software and systems more secure and efficient
- Perform systems analysis and design for new and existing applications
- Develop user interfaces based on given design parameters
- Participate in agile software development lifecycle with in a team environment, including tests of design and code to identity issues or defects
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology/systems or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience in developing software applications using Java, JavaScript, SQL and/or Python.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile Methodology and DevSecOps
- Experience using Gitlab or similar development environments.
- 2 – 3 years of development experience in Java, JavaScript and/or Python
