Journeyman Training and Development Specialist

Position Summary 

Dfuse Technologies is seeking a Journeyman Training and Development Specialist to support the planning, coordination, development, delivery, tracking, and administration of training activities that enable Division personnel and stakeholders to maintain required knowledge and skills. 

Training is specifically identified as one of the shared services required to support IC2&IS Division projects and business operations.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate Division-level training requirements, schedules, enrollment, completion, and associated records.  
  • Work with Government leadership, Project Leads, supervisors, and subject matter experts to identify training needs and priorities.  
  • Assist with conducting training needs assessments and identifying knowledge or skill gaps.  
  • Develop and maintain training plans, schedules, course materials, presentations, job aids, reference guides, and other training products.  
  • Coordinate instructor-led, virtual, web-based, and self-paced training activities, as applicable.  
  • Facilitate or deliver training sessions and provide clear instruction to personnel with varying levels of technical and functional experience.  
  • Coordinate logistics for training events, including scheduling, participant communications, facilities, materials, equipment, and attendance.  
  • Maintain training calendars, rosters, completion records, certifications, and other supporting documentation.  
  • Track mandatory, recurring, role-based, and professional development training requirements.  
  • Monitor upcoming training deadlines and notify appropriate personnel of required or overdue actions.  
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback, assessments, completion data, and other available measures.  
  • Analyze training results and recommend updates to course content, delivery methods, or supporting materials.  
  • Maintain accurate training information within Government-approved repositories, databases, spreadsheets, or other tracking systems.  
  • Prepare training status reports, metrics, dashboards, and briefing materials for Division leadership.  
  • Support organizational knowledge management by maintaining current training resources and ensuring personnel can locate applicable guidance and reference materials.  
  • Coordinate with internal and external training providers, as required.  
  • Research available courses, certifications, and development opportunities that address identified organizational requirements.  
  • Support continuous improvement of Division training processes and administrative procedures.  

Required Qualifications 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree 

Experience: Journeyman-level professional experience supporting training, workforce development, instructional support, organizational development, or related functions. 

Candidates should demonstrate experience with: 

  • Training coordination and administration  
  • Training needs assessment  
  • Training plan and schedule development  
  • Instructional or course material development  
  • Classroom and/or virtual training support  
  • Training records and completion tracking  
  • Training metrics and status reporting  
  • Stakeholder and instructor coordination  
  • Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications  
  • Knowledge and records management  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting DoD, Department of the Navy, NAVAIR, NAWCAD, or another federal organization is preferred. 
  • Experience with learning management systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, virtual training platforms, and Government training-management or tracking systems is desirable. 
  • Demonstrate strong facilitation, communication, organization, and presentation skills and the ability to coordinate multiple training requirements across a large organization.
